Astera Cancer Care in Morristown, NJ is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider on a per diem basis to staff at Morristown Medical Center and our Morristown practice. Weekend shifts are required.

The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, treatment planning, and coordination with the clinical team to deliver high‑quality cancer care. The candidate must hold an MSN and ARNP with prescriptive authority, have a current RN license, and possess BLS (AHA).

Qualifications

• MSN required and certification as practitioner (NP) from an approved program.
• Minimum three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting, plus two years of nurse practitioner experience.
• Current state RN license and ARNP with prescriptive authority.
• BLS with American Heart Association.
• CDS and DEA numbers necessary for prescribing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status through history, interviews, reviews, exams.
• Order/perform labs and screenings, consult with physicians as needed.
• Prescribe/dispense medications and injections, educate patients and families.
• Participate in peer reviews, education, and quality assurance activities.
• Coordinate with physicians for acute and long‑term care and triage calls/e‑mails.
• Other duties as assigned.
