UT Health San Antonio is seeking a certified physician assistant to staff the weekend acute care clinic. The role is PRN with two to three 8-hour shifts per month, focusing on patient-centered exams and evidence-based care.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the supervising physician, interpreting basic laboratory tests, and documenting care in EPIC. Prior primary or urgent care experience is preferred, and compensation is described as competitive.

Formación

• Certified physician assistant with excellent clinical skills.
• Qualified candidates must be NCCPA-certified and Texas-licensed.
• Degree from an accredited PA program (CAAHEP/ARC-PA/CAHEA).

Responsabilidades

• Staff the Saturday and/or Sunday acute care clinic.
• Conduct patient-centric exams and craft evidence-based workups and treatment plans.
• Interpret basic in-clinic labs (urinalysis, rapid strep, glucose).
• Document patient care in the EMR (EPIC).
• Triage and manage patient flow to minimize wait times.
• Review and manage weekend tasks and patient callbacks.
• Consult supervising physician as needed.
