Description
The ID Logistics Logistic Team Leader manages their team’s activity and organizes their work to achieve the defined objectives. They are a line manager responsible for the quality of work carried out in compliance with internal processes, health and safety rules for goods and people, and customer specifications. The role involves leading and supporting the team, with a typical ratio of 2/3 Level 3+ and 1/3 Level 1 team members.
Management Responsibilities Level – Team Leader
- Plans, manages, and controls teamwork, defining clear rules, objectives, and expectations.
- Communicates the roadmap and final goals, knowing team members' motivations to inspire and make their work rewarding.
- Establishes regular communication routines to monitor activity and objectives.
- Encourages feedback, recognizes achievements, and supports employee development through training as needed.
- Promotes process improvements and internal innovation programs, encouraging team participation.
General Activities
- Adjusts workforce and equipment based on volume forecasts to meet performance targets, prioritizing operations as needed.
- Maintains communication with the customer and coordinates specific requirements.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety rules of ID Logistics and local regulations.
- Reviews equipment checklists, implements corrective actions, and anticipates operational issues for continuous improvement.
Audit and Quality Management
- Organizes the workplace according to procedures and sector objectives.
- Ensures procedures and objectives are current, responds to audits, and maintains certifications.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Monitors key performance indicators and ensures effective communication within the team and with internal partners.
- Analyzes deviations from plans and implements corrective actions in coordination with warehouse management.
Other duties as assigned.
Hours: Weekend 2nd Shift Friday-Sunday 7pm-7:30am
Salary: $22.33 per hour plus $2.00 shift differential
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience and education
- Up to 2 years of higher education or equivalent through experience
- Training in transport, logistics, and management
- At least 1 year of professional experience in team leadership
