Job summary

VPNE is seeking a Patient Observer to work Saturdays and Sundays 3pm-11pm as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on one-to-one observation, safety, and adherence to the nursing plan of care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include at least two years of experience in Psychiatry (preferred), strong English communication skills, and a High School Diploma. You will collaborate with licensed staff and participate in staff development and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Two+ years experience in Psychiatry or related field preferred, working with emotionally disturbed adults, adolescents or families.

Responsibilities

• Provides one-to-one observation to ensure patient safety.
• Notifies the nurse of any changes in patient condition.
• Maintains patient safety and dignity while following the care plan.
• Assists in implementing the nursing plan and activities for patients.
• Documents observations and participates in unit activities as directed.
