Job Details: Job Location: Beaumont Location - Beaumont, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School/GED, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: QA - Quality Control, We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to perform inspections throughout the manufacturing process and ensure completed products meet customer requirements, specifications, and applicable industry standards. This position will perform dimensional inspections, verify incoming, in-process, and outgoing products, document inspection results, and work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to identify and resolve quality concerns.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safety-first culture through open communication and consistent adherence to safety procedures.
- Perform complete dimensional layout inspections of parts and equipment.
- Measure dimensions including length, height, distances between reference points, angles, arcs, and radii using a variety of precision measuring equipment and inspection aids.
- Identify and establish reference points on parts and equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
- Perform inspections and verification of incoming, in-process, and outgoing materials and products.
- Compare completed work against drawings, specifications, samples, and other requirements to identify manufacturing variations or defects.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and dimensional requirements.
- Identify, document, and report quality issues and inspection findings to the Quality Control Manager.
- Follow up on quality concerns to ensure corrective actions are addressed or planned.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
- Prepare and maintain lists of defects, discrepancies, and other quality findings.
- Work with Production, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other departments to ensure products meet specifications and facilitate acceptance of completed work.
- Assist with identifying trends or recurring quality issues and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
- Support NDE and other inspection processes as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or fabrication experience preferred.
- Experience with heat exchangers, pressure vessels, or similar industrial equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Working knowledge of basic mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to accurately perform dimensional measurements using a variety of inspection and measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of NDE testing methods and processes preferred.
- Knowledge of ASME Section VIII and TEMA fabrication requirements preferred.
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to communicate quality concerns clearly and professionally.
- Ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments.

Working Conditions
- Heavy industrial manufacturing and fabrication shop environment.
- Combination of shop-floor and inspection work.
- May be exposed to high noise levels, welding fumes, grinding dust, machinery, and other industrial shop conditions.
- May work around exposed fumes, particles, and other manufacturing materials.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, bend, and move throughout the facility.
- Frequent use of hands and arms to operate measuring and inspection equipment.
- Must have the ability to closely view and inspect parts, equipment, drawings, and measurements.
- Must be able to lift and/or move 10-25 pounds regularly and occasionally assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to work extended hours, overtime, or varying shifts based on production needs.
- Required to wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures while in manufacturing areas.
