Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services field is required.
• One or more years of experience working with a comparable patient population is required.

Responsibilities

• Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to individuals and families to treat emotional and behavioral disorders.
• Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
• Conduct individual, group or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan.
• Provide initial treatment planning for patient based on assessment and coordinate any needed services, revising as necessary.
• Maintain documentation of therapy services according to facility and professional standards.
• Maintain a caseload as assigned.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with staff to facilitate services per treatment plan.
• May provide services in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• May perform case management, discharge or aftercare planning as needed.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude; address complaints and prioritize patient safety.

Education
