Located in Birmingham, AL, we are seeking a Weekday Overnight Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team!

Compensation: $25.00-$28.00/hourly, based on experience

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts, Monday - Wednesday

Job Description:

The Veterinary Technician Supervisor is responsible for training staff, supervising and assisting technicians, planning schedules, coordinating with other supervisors, and performing duties related to animal health and client education. This role involves all duties of a veterinary technician and aims to promote efficiency by supporting veterinarians and administrative tasks.

You are an experienced Veterinary Technician committed to outstanding client service and excellent patient care. You value a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture, love working with like-minded people, and are eager to enhance your skills and make a difference.

Education and Experience:
  • Licensed Technician preferred
  • Experience in a veterinary practice meeting the required technician skillset
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Train, supervise, and assist technicians; conduct performance evaluations; handle disciplinary actions; ensure compliance with animal health laws and regulations.
  • Create and manage employee schedules; monitor overtime and payroll; coordinate shifts and patient appointments.
  • Participate in departmental meetings; assist in inventory management.
  • Maintain proficiency in emergency and ICU veterinary procedures, including restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, and laboratory procedures.
  • Fluent English skills required; multilingual abilities are a plus.
