Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support examinations under physician direction in a busy clinic. You will take vital signs, collect basic health histories, and document in the electronic medical record, assisting providers and nursing staff throughout visits.

The successful candidate will have current Medical Assistant certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and about one year of clinic experience, helping maintain clean exam rooms and navigate patient flow

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration.
• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year clinic experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider and nursing staff in patient care following established standards.
• Maintain exam rooms with supplies and cleanliness; greet patients and prepare them for examination.
• Take and record vital signs and assist with intake and health history in EMR.
• Ensure accurate patient records and communicate data to the health team for continuity of care.
• Support wait times and patient experience metrics and perform other duties as assigned.
