Job summary

Himalayas is seeking an Editor to own OTM's editorial output end to end—from concept and calendar to final published deliverables—across the blog, The Directory, and social and email surfaces where our stories live.

This is a builder's role as much as a writing role. You'll set the editorial calendar, decide what we cover and why, run the wedding pipeline from submission to Instagram carousel, keep The Directory's content sharp, and manage one direct report within the integrated marketing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in wedding/bridal media editorial role.
• Owns an editorial calendar and makes content decisions.
• Strong, fast writer with published features.
• Excellent interviewer with follow-up skills.
• Fashion knowledge to identify gowns and why choices matter.
• Experience editing others' work without diluting voice.
• Comfort with performance data as input, not mandate.
• Fluent on Instagram as a publishing surface.

Responsibilities

• Own editorial strategy and calendar across blog, The Directory, and social surfaces.
• Review submissions and select weddings based on editorial criteria.
• Coordinate with marketing to align with launches and campaigns.
• Write features in OTM's voice and publish in the CMS.
• Translate weddings to Instagram features, including carousel builds.
• Manage the Retention Contributor and provide regular feedback.
