Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Closing Captain for 10 South, a charming wedding venue in Wisconsin. This part-time role runs Friday–Sunday, 6:30pm–1:00am (rarely until 2:30am), with compensation per event. You will help guests, coordinate with the DJ, and ensure a smooth transition from dinner to dancing.

Ideal candidates are hospitality-driven, able to lead teams, and live within 30 minutes of the venue, bringing energy and a service-focused mindset to each wedding night.

Qualifications

• Has experience in hospitality and customer service.
• Available for part-time weekend evenings and holidays.
• Lives within 30 minutes of the venue.
• Able to be on your feet for long periods and stay active.
• Comfortable leading and managing others and making on-the-spot decisions.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-shift meetings with Event Manager and review event timeline.
• Greet guests and coordinate with Security Manager on the event briefing.
• Ensure restrooms are stocked and maintained throughout the evening.
• Coordinate toasts with the DJ and dessert service with the couple/caterer/DJ.
• Assist with late-night snacks and experiences and manage late-night activities as needed.
• Wrap up with event staff to complete a Closing Checklist and secure the venue on exit.
