Job summary

Thimble Alterations LLC invites independent alteration professionals to join its bridal-focused network. You will tailor wedding gowns, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride/groom outfits, handling hems, bodices, zippers, and fittings with meticulous precision.

As a contractor, work from home and accept only the jobs that fit your schedule through our platform, while building local client relationships and earning reviews to grow your profile.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precision measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
• Work with structured bridal gowns (layers, lace, beading, linings).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
• Handle requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.

What You\'ll Do

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
• We also receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
