Job description

Wedding Associate Job Description- Chicago

Part Time/Seasonal Contractor

Company Background

Kait Schmidt Thabet, Founder and Chief Planner, began her event planning journey in the Midwest at the age of 16, a journey marked by perseverance and passion. After graduating from Marquette University, Kait entered the traditional workforce, but felt a misalignment with this setting and its culture. As a result, in June 2019, Kait took the leap and started Celebrait by Kait.

The company underwent a rebrand in 2020, evolving into its current, sparkly form. Along the way, Kait balanced multiple part-time and full-time jobs in events and real estate while diligently building her brand. From day one, she remained focused on creating a wedding and event planning firm that was personalized and unique, rejecting the idea of a one-size-fits-all approach.

By the end of 2023, Kait made the bold decision to retire from traditional employment and follow her bliss with Celebrait by Kait full time. From 2024-2025, the team expanded with many talented team members joining the team in roles varying from event management to marketing, effectively shaping the landscape of the company today. New markets and milestones were conquered at record levels, paving the way for new talent to contribute to our growth and create #weddingdaymagic for fabulous couples.

Company Mission

At Celebrait by Kait (CBK), our mission is to transform life's special moments into unforgettable experiences, all while giving each event the time, talent, and care it deserves. From the big picture to the little details, we evaluate and execute every aspect of your wedding or event with care. It's not just about making things look good; it's about making sure everything runs smoothly, so you can relax and enjoy priceless moments.

Let’s #celebrate together soon!
