Job summary

Kettle is hiring Production Editors to work on end-to-end digital website projects for a major Bay Area client. The role is embedded as a copy editor and proofreader while also helping manage copy through creative reviews and into digital placements.

These onsite positions run 2–3 months per project, with remote work possible at other times of the year. The team collaborates across design and development to ensure accuracy and consistency across placements.

Qualifications

• At least three years with specific copyediting and proofreading experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Copywriters to copyedit decks and proofread design comps and builds.
• Read copy across placements with accuracy and consistency as a product expert.
• Set up copy decks using templates or build templates as needed.
• Communicate global copy changes affecting multiple deliverables clearly.
• Draft accessibility copy using templates and/or AI tools.
• Draft alternate versions for global partners based on existing copy.
• Manage copy after reviews as it moves into production, reviewing edits in website builds.
• Notify developers of copy changes with clear, concise instructions.
