In the Webmaster / WordPress Developer role, you will handle all website needs, such as troubleshooting technical errors, working with the ControlCase creative marketing team to create and maintain relevant content, and deploying visually appealing web designs.
You are expected to adhere to ControlCase’s brand guidelines for effective virtual representation of the organization. Success in this role will be demonstrated by leading the development and implementation of strategic website structures and improvements to enhance internet traffic and customer engagement.
Webmaster / WordPress Developer Job Responsibilities and Duties
Website administration and performance:
- Ensuring our websites are updated, secure, and perform well, optimizing website speed, usability, and performance.
- Managing website updates and integration with databases and servers.
- Ensuring compliance with ADA and privacy laws.
- Administering website security and data protection and performing updates.
- Troubleshooting: Fixing technical issues with themes, plugins, and other aspects of the website.
Website Optimization:
- Utilizing SEO tools and implementing organic search best practices.
- Conducting web traffic analyses and evaluating website performance.
- Developing and testing landing pages and forms to generate and optimize leads.
- Using Webmaster / WordPress Developer tools such as Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
- Maintaining a database of market relevant approaches.
Web Content Maintenance:
- Content management: Establishing and executing a process for publishing and managing web content.
- Server management: Maintaining virtual and cloud-based servers and optimizing their speed.
- User support: Responding to user comments and queries.
- Optimizing user experience as needed.
Webmaster / WordPress Developer Job Requirements
Certificates and Education:
- WordPress certificate or equivalent.
- Google Analytics Certificate or equivalent.
- SEO Course Completion or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of front-end website development and hosting experience.
- Proven track record of handling successful projects.
- Ability to fully realize wireframe-designed pages in .html.
- Proficient in SEO tools, Google Analytics, and related software.
- Collaboration: Working with the marketing, sales, and technology teams.
Other Skills:
- Advanced Computer Proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work during business hours in the Eastern Standard Time zone.
- Written and spoken English fluency – native or near-native.
- Creative, innovative, and maintains a positive work attitude.
