We are looking for a detail-obsessed, technically fluent Webmaster / Website Optimization Manager to own the performance of our Shopify storefront. This role is responsible for the health, speed, reliability, and conversion efficiency of the website.
You will live and breathe the site. From ensuring checkout never breaks, to shipping front-end CRO experiments, to identifying friction points through data, this role blends technical execution, analytics, and conversion optimization.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being in the weeds and takes pride in a fast, clean, high-converting website.
Key Responsibilities
Daily
- Monitor site uptime, checkout health, and critical user flows to ensure uninterrupted purchasing
- Identify and resolve site issues affecting conversion, speed, or usability
- Investigate and triage order, checkout, or payment errors in real time
- Track page load performance and flag regressions immediately
- Monitor conversion tracking accuracy across Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads (including pixel and CAPI integrity)
- Publish new product pages, update existing product information, and upload promotional banners for campaigns
- Review analytics to identify traffic patterns, conversion rates, and any unusual drops requiring attention
- Maintain SEO by fixing broken links, updating meta descriptions, and optimizing new content for search
- Set up, monitor, and analyze A/B tests on product pages, CTAs, or checkout flows
- Launch and QA campaign-specific landing pages for paid traffic with proper UTM structure and conversion tracking
- Review heatmaps and session recordings (e.g., Hotjar, Lucky Orange) to identify UX friction and CRO opportunities
- Document CRO test hypotheses, results, and learnings in a centralized testing repository
Monthly
- Deliver a website performance report covering conversion rates, site speed, traffic mix, and SEO trends
- Run full technical audits including crawls for indexation, duplicate content, and site structure issues
- Manage Shopify app updates and third-party integrations with proper testing and rollback plans
- Proactively identify site improvements that increase speed, usability, or conversion
- Coordinate with Email/SMS stakeholders on campaigns requiring landing page, site, or timing-specific updates
- Audit and optimize post-purchase flows including upsells, cross-sells, and thank-you page conversions

- Proper placement and visibility of FDA disclaimers across product and checkout pages
- Clear display of subscription terms prior to purchase
- Accurate implementation of Prop 65 warnings for California customers
- Baseline ADA/WCAG accessibility compliance across all site experiences
Security & Risk Management
- Maintain PCI compliance standards for payment processing
- Manage bot protection, fraud prevention, and abuse mitigation tools
- Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery protocols
- Proactively identify and address site security vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- 2+ years managing Shopify e-commerce websites
- Shopify Liquid templating experience
- Hands-on experience with SEO and Google Search Console
- Strong working knowledge of GA4 or equivalent analytics tools
- Experience implementing and analyzing A/B tests
- Strong troubleshooting instincts and bias for action
- Data-driven decision maker with strong attention to detail
- Organized, methodical, and comfortable owning outcomes
Nice to Have
- AEO experience
- Core Web Vitals optimization experience
- Experience working in DTC Supplements
- Technical SEO knowledge including schema markup
- Experience with CDNs, caching, or performance tooling
- Understanding of UX and front-end best practices
- Experience working with CRO tools (e.g., Intelligems, Convert, VWO, etc.)
Compensation
$75,000–$85,000 per year base depending on experience, plus potential for performance-based upside tied to site conversion and performance improvements
