Your Role:Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation
The position of Quality Control Manager has the overall responsibility of developing, implementing, andmanaging the quality plan for the project
What You Will Do:
Implement, and manage the quality plan.
Oversee field Quality Control.
Perform quality report and oversee the documentation of QC.
Ensure compliance of the quality plan with Federal, State, Local, and other regulatory laws and standards.
Ensure compliance with the quality plan.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001.
Provide records related to the quality system to document control.
Manage all nonconformities, work with QA to identify a resolution, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Attend meetings related with Quality issues.
Distribute relevant QC documentation to site subcontractors.
Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
Develop and implement Training and Audit programs for QC internally as well as subcontractor quality systems.
Jointly, with Construction and Procurement departments, review meetings of contractual specifications for all materials involved in the project.
Quality evaluation of sub-consultant, subcontractors and materials prior to hiring and purchases.
Who You Are: A Profile of Success
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience of progressive responsibility in quality control positions.
Hold a current Professional Engineer License in the state of Texas, or the ability to obtain
Experience in Quality on large highway, bridge/structures, paving, and/or utility relocation projects as a contractor, preferably with one (or more) project larger than $500 million in construction.
Experience leading or assisting in Audits to suppliers, subcontractors, or internal department teams.
Management experience preferred.
Applicable certifications in Quality, ASQ and ISO Auditor, and Construction preferred.
Excellent command of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
