Job summary

• Join, wrap and seal sections of pipe.
• Perform a variety of routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations, placing pipe sections in trench and assembling sections of pipe.
• Perform a variety of machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering and assisting in the fusing of pipe.

Job Description:

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Assist Foreman and skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision. Usually an entry level position as the first step to learn a skill.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

This position involves work at and around the Jacksonville airport. As such, the candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass abackground check for security clearance. Additionally, a clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is essential.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
