Job Description: Operates a rubber-tired, skid steer, or crawler type tractor with an attached scoop type bucket on front end. The machine is used to load materials from stockpiles, excavation, charging batch plants, loading, and unloading trucks. It may be used with attachments in lieu of the bucket.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Safety Policies and Practices: The employee in this job must be knowledgeable about and follow the company’s safety policies and procedures as described in the company’s safety manual.
Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
Experience: Three or more years of related construction experience preferred.
Physical Activity Level: Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers. Ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials.
Working Conditions: Outdoor exposure to changing weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.).
Work Environment: The work environment/physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/or precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
