Job Description:

Supervisor: Foreman

Position Summary: Operates rubber-tired, skid steer, or crawler tractors with attached scoop buckets to load materials, perform excavation, and support other construction activities. May use attachments other than the standard bucket as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operate SKYTRACK 8000LB Forklift or similar equipment proficiently.
• Start and operate machinery by controlling engines, throttles, switches, levers, and pedals.
• Signal truck drivers for optimal positioning to facilitate loading of materials.
• Maintain safety by avoiding hazards such as utility lines, other equipment, personnel, and falling objects.
• Perform routine maintenance like oiling and greasing the machinery.
• Adjust equipment as necessary to ensure optimal operation.
• Follow all safety policies and report unsafe activities to supervisors or HR.
• Collaborate proactively with team members to meet departmental and company goals.
• Lead by example and share knowledge/skills with team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Safety Policies: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures outlined in the company’s safety manual.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required. Three or more years of related construction experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: Heavy physical activity required, involving strenuous tasks and technical work.

Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle items and work with fingers, perceive object attributes.

Working Conditions: Outdoors in various weather conditions including rain, sun, snow, and wind.

Work Environment: Exposure to weather extremes, wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and high/precarious places. Noise levels are typically loud. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
