Job summary

Ferrovial Webber Energy is seeking a dynamic Engineering Intern to support our EPC projects in the energy sector. This 12-week program offers hands-on exposure across safety, surveying, project supervision and field engineering within our Heavy Civil, Waterworks, Infrastructure Management and Energy divisions.

You will gain practical experience interpreting plans, learning surveying practices, and assisting with jobsite audits while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering or related 4-year degree program.
• Strong communication in English (verbal and written).
• Moderate computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Hazard Safety Observations (HSO).
• Know and apply necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for jobsite activities.
• Observe and prevent safety incidents.
• Conduct jobsite audits.
• Learn how to interpret plans and set layouts.
• Understand how to survey for quantities.
• Gain knowledge in conversions and accurate surveying practice.
• Assess man-hours time and materials needed for production.
• Communicate and delegate work plans to field crews.

• Moderate to high level of computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
• Full understanding of Construction Math concepts
• Ability to perform moderate to high level of physical activity in field‑based construction environment
