Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking a Foreman to join Webber in Houston, leading skilled craft workers on heavy civil projects and ensuring safety and quality on site.

You will supervise daily field activities, coordinate materials, and uphold project timelines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Digging, spreading and leveling dirt, sand and gravel using hand tools.
  • Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies.
  • Clean tools, equipment, materials and work area.
  • Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials using hand tools.
  • Join, wrap and seal sections of pipe.
  • Perform routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations and placing pipe sections.
  • Assist in machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering and fusing pipe.

Supervisor: Foreman

Job Description: Assist Foreman and skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision.

Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Digging, spreading and leveling dirt, sand and gravel using a pick, shovel or rake.
  • Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies.
  • Clean tools, equipment, materials and work area.
  • Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials using hand tools.
  • Join, wrap and seal sections of pipe.
  • Perform a variety of routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations, placing pipe sections in trench and assembling sections of pipe.
  • Perform a variety of machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering and assisting in the fusing of pipe.
Requirements:
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

less than High School Diploma.

Experience:

three or more years related construction experience preferred.
