Job description

Serotonin is seeking a social media manager to lead, develop, and execute effective organic social media management and engagement strategies on behalf of clients. The person in this role will work closely with a full team of marketers, including PR, Content, and Branding pillars. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of crypto and blockchain, with strong familiarity with Crypto Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant social platforms as the industry evolves. This role reports to the Social Media Director and is responsible for overseeing the daily social media output for assigned clients.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the social media strategy, operations, and execution for 3-5 Serotonin clients.
  • Write in multiple voices, from informative to humorous and lighthearted, tailoring messaging to each platform in line with client branding.
  • Leverage data and social media marketing tools to analyze weaknesses and grow both internal and client brands.
  • Stay informed about current events within the web3 ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Director, SVP of Content, Community, and Social, and client Marketing Directors to develop and implement social strategies and identify new social opportunities.
  • Create and maintain systems for scheduling, posting, and responding.
  • Work with content and community teams to plan and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate with PR, events, community, marketing, and growth teams to ensure content consistency and alignment.
  • Plan and execute social activities such as Twitter Spaces, AMAs, giveaways, and growth campaigns.
  • Keep abreast of social strategies across technology and product teams.
Requirements
  • Passion for crypto or a strong curiosity and willingness to learn about web3.
  • Deep industry knowledge, including regular use of web3 apps and understanding of effective web3 marketing strategies, especially viral social campaigns.
  • Experience creating high-volume content for platforms like X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Warpcast.
  • Experience managing social platforms from posting to analytics and social listening; bonus points for understanding tools like Kaito and Yap for Breakfast.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently, knowing when to leverage team strengths.
  • Ability to balance evergreen content, product marketing, and creative campaigns with agility.
  • Interest or experience in founder-led social media.
  • Technical aptitude or a strong desire to learn across different use cases.
  • Open-mindedness and receptiveness to feedback.

  • A relentless drive to craft compelling, creative content that simplifies products, engages audiences, fuels growth, taps into trends, and captures attention.
  • Experience or strong interest in creating multimedia content using AI tools, with familiarity with tools like Adobe Photoshop for creating videos, memes, graphics, and podcast clips.
  • Ability to craft a technically accurate and engaging Twitter thread on ZK proofs or create an AI video of Vitalik riding a unicorn — versatility in content creation is key.
