Role Overview


The Web3 Engineer / Blockchain Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining multi-chain blockchain infrastructure with a focus on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Graphene/Steem integration, along with implementing decentralized identity (DID) standards. This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation to build robust, scalable, and secure blockchain solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Bitcoin architecture, Ethereum standards and protocols, Graphene/Steem frameworks, and W3C DID specifications, while also possessing strong leadership and communication skills.


Responsibilities


  • Design and implementation of multi-chain blockchain architecture, focusing on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Graphene/Steem integration
  • Develop and implement Bitcoin wallet integration, Lightning Network, and Taproot functionality
  • Architect and implement Ethereum proof-of-stake node integration and wallet connectivity Design and implement decentralized identity (DID) systems following W3C standards
  • Develop and maintain smart contracts, ensuring security, efficiency, and compliance with Ethereum standards
  • Architect and implement cross-chain cryptocurrency payment processing solutions
  • Guide the development of decentralized applications (DApps) that interact with multiple blockchain networks
  • Establish technical standards, coding practices, and architectural guidelines for blockchain development
  • Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Providing technical guidance and code reviews
  • Stay current with emerging blockchain technologies, standards, and best practices
  • Identify and mitigate security risks in blockchain implementations
  • Contribute to the company's blockchain strategy and roadmap

Qualifications and Experience


  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Masters preferred)
  • Relevant certifications in blockchain technology (e.g., Certified Blockchain Developer)
  • Continuous professional development in blockchain and cryptocurrency
  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • 3+ years of experience specifically in blockchain development
  • Demonstrated experience with Bitcoin architecture and Lightning Network
  • Proven expertise with Ethereum architecture, smart contracts, and proof-of-stake
  • Experience with Graphene/Steem blockchain or similar DPoS systems
  • Implementation experience with W3C Decentralized Identifier (DID) standards
  • Proven track record implementing cross-chain payment solutions
  • History of successful multi-chain blockchain project delivery
  • Deep understanding of Bitcoin and Ethereum ecosystems and development paradigms
  • Knowledge of decentralized identity standards and implementations
  • Familiarity with Graphene framework architecture and capabilities
  • Understanding of regulatory landscape affecting blockchain and cryptocurrencies
