Web-to-Print Finishing Operator - Flexible Packaging (2nd Shift) Plant 2

Belmark is seeking an individual to join our team at our Flexible Packaging plant in De Pere, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for all associated equipment and process implemented in the Finishing Department in Web-to-Print. This includes all functions of the Digicon Finishing Platforms as well as the Coupon Folding Equipment and Omega Coupon Inserter. Overtime and flexible hours will be required. Expected to operate the machines at the highest efficiency possible while following standard operating procedures and work instructions to produce high quality product.

Schedule:

  • 2nd shift hours are from 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. (midnight), Monday - Thursday

Pay:

  • $21.00 - $24 per Hour.The hourly rate for this position is determined by the level of the role, relevant experience, and may incorporate shift differentials, ensuring fair compensation that reflects both expertise and responsibilities entailed.
  • The shift differential for 2nd shift is $1.00 more per hour

What will I do in this role?

  • Follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.
  • Maintain quality, productivity and waste according to established standards.
  • Perform all job tasks utilizing required personal protective equipment and correct safety procedures.
  • Web the finishing units.
  • Clean the finishing units.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the finishing units.
  • Complete necessary job paperwork.
  • Understand and properly utilize computer based hardware and software associated.
  • Keep work area and the machine organized and clean.
  • Responsible for meeting 48 hour stated turnaround objective.
  • May cross train in other areas of Web-to-Print.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Will have job duties specific to our Hazardous Waste Management Program for the proper disposal of spent solvents, waste inks and other designated waste products.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.
  • Must have excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to give, receive and analyze information.
  • Ability to effectively navigate and operate a computer.
  • Ability to stand and walk for 80% of work time; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for 20% of work time.
  • Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less; see clearly at 20 feet or more; identify and distinguish colors; judge distances and spatial relationships; and to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
  • Ability to use hands for 100% of work time; reach above shoulders for 50% of work time; and use feet to operate machines for 30% of work time.
  • Ability to lift: 10 pounds or less 25% of work time; 25 pounds or less 30% of work time; and 50 pounds or less 25% of work time; and may lift 100 pounds or less 5% of work time.
  • May be required to lift up to 100 pounds or more.
  • May be required to use sense of smell.
