AttainX, Inc. seeks a Web Software Developer II to support DHS CISA’s Critical Infrastructure Collaboration Platform (CICP).

The role designs and develops web-enabled software solutions that meet business requirements, including features, UI, code and supporting web infrastructure. You will collaborate with web administrators, designers, developers, analysts, and stakeholders throughout the full development lifecycle, delivering reusable components and accessible interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 2-4 years of web software development experience.
• Experience designing and developing web-enabled software with UI.
• Ability to translate requirements into intuitive navigation and UI.

Responsibilities

Location: Remote/Hybrid - DHS CISA, 4200 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington VA 22203 and 4601 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington VA 22203.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday.

AttainX is seeking a Web Software Developer II to support DHS CISA’s Critical Infrastructure Collaboration Platform (CICP). This position designs and develops web-accessible software solutions that engage users and meet business requirements, including application features, user interfaces, software code, and supporting web infrastructure. The developer collaborates with web administrators, designers, and technical teams throughout the development lifecycle. This role receives direction in several aspects of the work while gaining exposure to more complex development tasks.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, web development, or a related area of specialty.
• 2-4 years of related experience in web software development, web application development, or a comparable technical role.
• Experience designing and developing web-accessible software, including user interfaces, new features, and reusable components.
• Ability to translate user needs and technical requirements into intuitive navigation, information architecture, and consistent user interface designs.
• Experience developing, implementing, and debugging software code; familiarity with wireframing, prototyping, and visual design tools.
• Working knowledge of Section 508 accessibility and applicable Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), including accessible navigation, forms, and visual content.
• Experience with back-end database development and constructing SQL queries through Common Gateway Interface (CGI) scripting.
• Ability to follow agency branding, design standards, and plain language guidance while presenting complex information clearly.
• Ability to collaborate across the software development lifecycle, follow established development practices, and work with periodic direction while gaining exposure to complex tasks.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to coordinate with web administrators, designers, developers, and stakeholders.
• Experience designing Federal Government applications, dashboards, geospatial interfaces, or data visualization experiences is preferred.
• DHS Trusted Tester is preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust Clearance.

Job Duties:

The Web Software Developer II supports CICP modernization through web software design, development, integration, and testing. Responsibilities include:

• Design and develop web-accessible software solutions that engage users, meet business requirements, and improve legacy workflows.
• Collaborate with web administrators, designers, developers, analysts, and stakeholders throughout the full development lifecycle.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs; contribute to new features and application enhancements.
• Design and implement visually appealing, easy-to-use graphical user interfaces consistent with CISA branding and approved design standards.
• Develop, implement, and debug application code using approved web technologies; maintain reusable interface components.
• Design and develop supporting web infrastructure, including back-end databases and SQL queries through CGI scripting.
• Integrate web interfaces with application services, APIs, dashboards, geospatial tools, and approved enterprise visualization tools.
• Incorporate Section 508 accessibility into each iteration and release; test keyboard access, focus order, contrast, labels, error messages, and assistive technology compatibility.
• Participate in agile planning, code reviews, and design reviews; complete assigned development activities with periodic direction and elevate complex technical issues.
• Coordinate with security and development teams on access controls, privacy, and secure handling of Protected Critical Infrastructure Information (PCII).
• Support migration and deployment by reviewing interface readiness, identifying user experience impacts, and validating updated workflows after release.
• Review application and front-end changes for design conformance, accessibility, security, and maintainability; resolve defects before release.
• Maintain design assets, interface documentation, and user workflow references to support knowledge transfer, sustainment, and future enhancements.
