Job summary

Bridgeport Public Schools is seeking a DevOps Web Services Analyst to develop, deploy, monitor and support the District’s web services and CI/CD pipelines. The role collaborates with multiple ITS teams to ensure reliability, security and accessibility of web infrastructure.

The analyst will maintain public and internal websites, assist with deployments across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments, and provide technical support to staff for publishing and deployment processes.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (preferred) in computer science or related field.
• 2–4 years experience supporting websites, web apps and CMS.
• Experience with JavaScript, VB, .Net, cloud hosting platforms.
• Working knowledge of Python, Bash scripting, Node.js and deployment practices.
• Familiarity with SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps and Azure Enterprise Services.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automation tools.
• Familiarity with Linux, Apache, Azure, vSphere, Docker, Kubernetes, Hyper‑V, Windows containers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the District’s public facing and internal websites, CMS and hosting environments.
• Support DevOps workflows including CI/CD pipelines, source control, and deployment automation.
• Assist with deployment, configuration, and monitoring of web applications across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Monitor availability, performance and logs to resolve issues affecting web services.
• Implement security best practices for web platforms and deployment pipelines.
• Maintain technical documentation for web services and system configurations.
• Assist in managing domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, and related web infrastructure.
