Job summary

Vericast is seeking a Web Press Operator for 2nd shift in Utah. The role runs Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm with an hourly pay rate of $25.00 plus a $1.75 shift differential and a $0.50/hr wage increase eligible after 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate web presses per supervisor instructions.
• Manage press startup and daily/weekly maintenance and safety checks.
• Perform quality inspections before, during, and after printing.
• Clean up and shutdown procedures at end of shift.
• Communicate with teams to ensure materials availability and priorities.
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Demonstrate high mechanical reasoning during operations.

Web Press Operator - 2nd Shift

• Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Vericast offers a year-round TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED, BRIGHT, CLEAN manufacturing printing team-based environment.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the daily operation of web presses as directed by the press operator. Maintain cleanliness
and operation of press. Coordinate with internal agencies for required materials: i.e. ink plate paper tape
etc. Ensure accuracy of printed material coming from the press.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Press Start-up Procedures: Daily/Weekly Maintenance and Safety checks.
• Machine operation to include: print unit setup, numbering unit setup, process unit setup, delivery unit setup and other operations necessary to complete print operator duties.
• Quality inspections: before print, while printing and after.
• Clean up and shut down procedures/End of shift activities.
• Communication.
• Lifting requirements: 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. on occasion
• High Mechanical Reasoning Expectations

EXPERIENCE

DECISION MAKING

• Roll of paper in good condition. Stock being produced meets quality specifications
• Basic operations of the equipment in good working order

• Warehouse; Receive required paper type; Production planning; Ensuring required materials available; Press Plate Retrieval Marketing; Press Proofs/ Press Checks; Production/Process Supervisor Priorities & requirements.
