Rhoback, a performance apparel brand in Charlottesville, VA, seeks a Web Merchandiser to own Rhoback.com presentation, catalog sequencing, and taxonomy. You’ll connect merchandising, creative, and marketing to optimize the customer journey and drive sell-through.

You’ll analyze site data, implement changes, and coordinate seasonal launches with Marketing and Creative. 2–4 years in web merchandising and Shopify experience are required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent, ideally in Merchandising, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in web merchandising, digital retail, ecommerce operations
• Hands-on Shopify experience required
• Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics) and a working familiarity with SEO fundamentals is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end digital presentation of Rhoback's product catalog on Rhoback.com — including collection builds, product sequencing, tagging, and taxonomy.
• Lead site merchandising for all seasonal launches, campaign drops, and promotional events; partner with Marketing and Creative to align the online experience with campaign priorities.
• Build and maintain all web collection lists, campaign landing pages, and site navigation structures; conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and alignment with the broader assortment strategy.
• Drive product sequencing and sort-order logic across category and collection pages, using site analytics, sell-through data, and inventory position to make data-informed decisions.
• Own site search merchandising — curate pinned results, manage synonym rules, and ensure high-traffic search terms surface the right products.
• Partner with the Merchandising Manager and Creative team on website imagery selection, asset prioritization, and product feature placement.
• Pull and maintain weekly web performance reporting — including traffic, conversion, units sold and sell-through by collection — and use insights to proactively inform site updates.
• Monitor and maintain product detail page (PDP) quality: ensure copy, imagery, sizing, color swatches, and cross-sell recommendations are accurate and complete across the full catalog.
• Own the seasonal website flip cadence — coordinate timing with Marketing and Creative, build out new seasonal collection architecture, and ensure clean transitions between seasons.
• Support inventory-based site management: surface low-stock flags, suppress or redirect sold-out products, and prioritize in-stock depth in sequencing logic.
• Collaborate with the broader Merchandising team on cross-functional priorities including wholesale line book support and surface design reviews as needed.
