Codeworks, an LRS company, seeks a Web Hosting Infrastructure Engineer to support migrations and lifecycle management of enterprise websites hosted on the Microsoft web platform in Milwaukee, WI. This contract role focuses on migrations, IIS-hosted apps, DNS cutovers, and maintaining web infrastructure in a controlled enterprise environment.

The role requires 3+ years of IIS hosting experience, server migrations, DNS, load balancing, Active Directory, and strong troubleshooting and documentation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IIS-hosted website/application support.
• Experience with Windows Server migrations.
• Knowledge of DNS, web hosting, and load-balancing concepts.
• Experience with Active Directory and Windows authentication.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established procedures with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute website and application migrations from Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2022.
• Configure, support, and troubleshoot IIS-hosted websites and applications.
• Run and support PowerShell scripts and Ansible workflows.
• Coordinate DNS updates and application cutovers.
• Support load-balancing configurations and traffic migrations.
• Validate application functionality before and after migrations.
• Work with Active Directory, service accounts, and authentication requirements.
• Document migration activities, issues, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams, application owners, and testing teams.
