Your Role And Responsibilities
The Web Presence team is a hybrid group of designers and engineers responsible for delivering high-quality web experiences that support HashiCorp, an IBM company’s go-to-market efforts. This includes websites like hashicorp.com, developer.hashicorp.com, and more. Since many of HashiCorp’s customers and users interact with these web properties first, maintaining high standards is crucial.

Our projects range from frontend marketing initiatives with interactive graphics and animations, to evolving HashiCorp’s design system, to backend architecture and full-stack development that directly impacts users.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Help build, operate, and improve HashiCorp’s public-facing web experiences.
• Contribute to frontend and full-stack development, including implementing animations, interactions, and polished UI elements.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver high-quality web solutions.
• Review and refactor code, mentor team members, and participate in code reviews.
• Identify and solve user problems, improve documentation, and enhance the authoring experience for content teams.
• Contribute to backend systems and APIs supporting the websites.
• Partner with designers to create engaging, accessible, and performant web experiences.

This job can be performed from anywhere in the US.

Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• 5+ years of frontend and/or full-stack development experience.
• Deep expertise with React and frameworks like Next.js.
• Experience with TypeScript & Node.js.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript standards.
• Familiarity with digital design and prototyping tools (like Figma).

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Experience with Git and version control.
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and craft high-quality web experiences.
• Understanding of web servers, HTTP APIs, and database design (relational and NoSQL).
