Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a Web Developer (Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph) to join Fort Meade-based enterprise web services. You will own features end-to-end across UI, API, and data layers in AWS, delivering secure, scalable cloud-hosted applications.

The role requires expertise across HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs, Linux deployments, relational databases, and security best practices. Expect a rigorous, collaborative environment with on-site work in Fort Meade, MD.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Cybersecurity Certification: DoD 8570 / 8140 IAM Level I (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus at least 7 years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity, OR 11 years of relevant software engineering experience without a degree.
• Web Fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful API design.
• Linux & Infrastructure: Experience deploying and operating software on Linux (service management, log analysis, networking, basic shell automation).
• Databases: Working knowledge of relational database management, indexing, and practical query tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain full‑stack web applications and enterprise services (UI, API, and database layers).
• Deploy, monitor, and support production services in AWS; troubleshoot incidents and perform root‑cause remediation.
• Author architecture designs, technical approach docs, and interface specifications.
• participate in estimation, sprint planning, and peer code reviews.
• Integrate secure authentication/authorization workflows and apply secure coding principles.
• Configure, optimize, and operate deployments within Linux environments.
• Design and optimize relational database schemas, indexes, and SQL queries.
