Job summary

J T in Fort Meade, MD seeks a Web Developer – Level 1 to join a high-performing team delivering enterprise web services deployed in AWS. You will own features across UI, APIs, and databases, designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-hosted applications while contributing to security design decisions.

You will conduct rigorous code reviews, participate in agile planning, and ensure high availability, security, and maintainability across production environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• DoD 8570 / 8140 IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus at least 7 years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity, OR 11 years of relevant software engineering experience without a degree.
• Experience with full-stack development across UI, APIs, and databases.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain full-stack web applications (UI, API, database).
• Deploy, monitor, and support production services in AWS; troubleshoot incidents and fix root causes.
• Prepare technical documentation, architectures, and interface designs.
• Participate in estimation, sprint planning, and code reviews.
• Integrate secure authentication/authorization and follow secure coding practices.
• Configure deployments in Linux environments; optimize databases and queries.
