The Role
Hone is looking for a Web Developer to join our team. In this role, you will report to the Senior Director of Software Development and you will be responsible for development across key customer touchpoints, including landing pages and checkout experiences. You will play a key role in shaping the user experience and ensuring our applications are scalable, performant, and helping the business achieve its growth objectives through data-driven improvements.

Primary Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on software solutions to drive business growth and optimize user experience
  • Develop high-quality, scalable software solutions with a strong focus on speed, experimentation, and learning from data
  • Design and implement modular, reusable front-end components that can be quickly adapted for testing and iteration
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams to launch and evaluate A/B tests, feature experiments, and optimizations
  • Continuously refine and improve website speed, performance, and usability based on user feedback and analytics

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • 2-5 years production experience as a web developer translating Figma designs to functional web sites / applications
  • Experience with WordPress or a similar CMS
  • Hands-on experience with edge caching, CDNs, image optimization, and how to optimize/improve page speed
  • Demonstrated experience integrating AI tools and services (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, AI-based code analyzers) into daily development workflows to boost productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and support decision-making.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing and frameworks such as Optimizely, Launch Darkly, etc
  • Mastery of development tooling (VS Code, Git, etc)
  • Familiar with React/TypeScript or another modern frontend framework
  • Understanding of lifecycle best practices, including source control, testing (unit, performance, automation), security, maintainability, code reuse, etc.
  • Work well both independently and in a team/paired programming setting
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment
  • Can quickly learn new technology systems and communication tools

Experience in the following technologies is a significant “plus:”

  • C# / .NET

The compensation range for this role is around $90,000 to $120,000 annual salary.
