Compensation Range: $155,000 to $170,000 base plus bonus and equity

What You’ll Do
Web Engineer – join our Web Development team to oversee all aspects of our customer-facing websites and portals, ensuring that our digital properties function as designed, are performant, rank for search results, and are optimized for conversion.
Responsibilities
- Create well-designed and tested code using best practices for web development, including responsive design and mobile UX
- Develop websites and interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices and integrate data from back-end databases and services
- Implement new site features, backend integrations, split tests, and more to grow and optimize our web presence
- Engage in the full development lifecycle: designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and improving our websites and portal
- Scope projects accurately to inform planning timelines, ask clarifying questions, remove ambiguity, and proactively identify risks and alternatives
- Lead engineering implementations from start to finish, keeping teammates and stakeholders informed about progress and risks
- Monitor and optimize website performance, including page load times, mobile responsiveness, and user experience using tools such as DataDog
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and technologies; research and advocate for new technology and methodologies
- Identify and advocate for automation opportunities and use of AI where appropriate
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, agency partners, and data analysts to take ideas from concept to design, implementation, testing, and measurement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to determine underlying problems and needs to build the right solution
What You Bring To The Team
- 5+ years of practical development experience with a strong technical focus
- Experience planning and developing websites across multiple products and organizations
- Proficiency with content management systems
- Experience in ecommerce applications and development
- Experience implementing web development workflows and operations using tools including GitHub
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to thoughtfully question ideas and requests
