Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Web Developer to support our customer remotely who will:

  • Design and develop a responsive, user‑focused web experience using modern front‑end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and applicable frameworks).
  • Translate user requirements, wireframes, and design concepts into functional, accessible, and visually consistent web experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, back‑end developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery of web solutions.
  • Develop and maintain reusable front‑end components, templates, and style frameworks to support consistency and scalability across platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and best practices for usability and performance.
  • Support integration of front‑end interfaces with databases, APIs, and enterprise systems to enable dynamic, real‑time content delivery.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of web applications to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Maintain and update existing web applications, ensuring compatibility with evolving technologies and security requirements.
  • Contribute to documentation, code standards, and development processes to support maintainability and team efficiency.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Strong experience in front‑end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks or libraries.
  • Working knowledge of web application architecture and integration with back‑end services.
  • Experience developing responsive and accessible web applications.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and enterprise web environments.
  • Understanding of cross‑browser compatibility, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting government or enterprise‑level web platforms.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools.
  • Experience with version control systems and modern development workflows.
  • Exposure to database‑driven applications and API integration.
Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
