Job description

· Candidate should have these skills, and be interested in learning the latest, cutting-edge, technologies like microservices, Scala, Node.js, Play Framework, and EmberJS.

Responsibilities:

• Build highly usable, performant web services and web applications using AWS, Node.js/Express that optimize conversion and growth.
• Develop functional and well-architected web services to deliver functionality and support scalability and flexibility.
• Develop, refactor, and optimize our Node.js/Express code for reliability, performance, simplicity, and maintainability.
• Join a highly collaborative team in an energetic environment.

Required Skills:

• Experience with Bookshelf and Trex preferred.
• AWS implementations.
• Experience with one or more server-side web frameworks: Node.js/Express/Bookshelf, Scala/Play, Python/Django, Ruby/Rails.
• Knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and good schema and query design preferred.

Basic Skills:

• Java Full Stack Developer with 3-5 years of experience, familiar with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Top 3 must-haves: Web-based API development, coding in Node.js, understanding of ELB (AWS implementation experience is a bonus).
• Position based in Sterling, VA - open for Skype interviews.
