Job summary

Quicken is seeking a front-end engineer to join our customer-focused team in Menlo Park, CA. You will build catalog browsing, search, and checkout experiences, collaborating with Product, Design, and Back-End engineers to deliver fast, accessible interfaces.

The role is contract-to-hire, with hourly pay of $53-$58. After conversion, base pay target is $110,240–$120,640 per year. We offer strong benefits and a collaborative, innovative environment.

Note – this is a contract to hire role ranging $53-$58/hour. Upon conversion after three months, this position's expected base pay range is $110,240 - $120,640.

Responsibilities

• Develop catalog browsing, search, filtering, product detail, cart, and checkout experiences.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Back-End engineers to integrate front-end code with APIs and services.
• Optimize for page performance, usability, and SEO.
• Write maintainable, well-tested, well-documented code, and take part in code reviews.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, while applying sound engineering judgment to validate results.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional web development experience.
• Hands-on experience with at least one modern front-end framework such as React, Vue, or Svelte.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and handling asynchronous data (fetch, promises, async/await).
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
• Experience with ecommerce or catalog-style applications is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to all audiences.
• Confident yet humble, open to feedback, adaptable, and curious about new things.
