Digital Marketing Specialist / Web Designer
Location: Remote
Pay: Market Rate (offshore)
Employment Status: Contract

Scout Solutions is seeking a talented Web Designer with expertise in Wix who is also proficient in wireframing or sketching out ideas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing stunning, user-friendly websites that are fully optimized for search engines and can achieve the client's goals.

The core duties of the role/project you are applying for are REQUIRED. We are flexible to an extent with some of the bells and whistles that we are asking for, but want to be clear, we WILL NOT consider people who don’t know the basics around marketing/web-based marketing solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with SCOUT’s key stakeholders and personnel, as well as their clients, to identify requirements and develop design concepts based on their needs.
2. Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using design software and the Wix platform.
3. Develop custom Wix templates and design layouts that align with the client's brand and vision.
4. Optimize websites and landing pages visually and functionally for speed, accessibility, and search engine ranking.
5. Integrate marketing creative into social media pages, aggregators, and the company website (currently hosted on Wix).
6. Stay up-to-date with latest design trends, best practices, web marketing strategies, and emerging technologies.

Skills Required

1. Clearly document client requirements.
2. Understand UI/UX design principles and user-centered design approach.
3. Build detailed wireframes and workflows.
4. Attend internal and client strategy sessions.
5. Design and develop Wix websites following best practices.
6. Follow brand guidelines.
7. Communicate effectively in American English.
8. Be comfortable with Wix plug-ins.
9. Build easy-to-use CMS solutions.
10. Complete websites in less than one week (first draft).
11. Deliver websites with minimal revisions.
12. Possess graphic design skills and experience with graphic design software.
13. Exhibit excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively or independently.

What Will Make You Special

1. Experience or interest in building API integrations and automation.
2. Experience with Trello or other project management tools.
3. Experience with Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop.
4. Knowledge of WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace (preferred but not required).
5. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies (nice to have).
6. Ability to create and edit marketing videos, gifs, memes, and audio/video files.
