Job description

This is a senior Web Designer position for the person who automated their own job once and immediately wanted to do it again. The reward structure favors doers: $97,000 - $142,000 upfront, real technology ownership, and a MGM team pulling the same direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the service-minded Ruby on Rails subsystem that the rest of MGM quietly depends on
• Decode the undocumented Rust service nobody at MGM remembers writing
• Pair Rust and Tailwind CSS in a pipeline MGM can extend without your help later
• Catch the Nginx race conditions that only surface under Grand Island peak traffic
• Profile and refactor legacy code to reduce technical debt over time
• Respond to on-call rotations and participate in incident postmortems
• Shave milliseconds off the technology hot path that MGM users feel every click
• Write clean, well-tested code that scales with MGM's growing user base

What You'll Bring

• Proven REST API results, ideally seasoned in Grand Island, NE
• Comfort being the newest person in the room and the loudest in the notes
• The kind of listening that makes the other person feel heard
• Confident communicator across email, calls, and in-person meetings

Recognized for our delightfully-weird work in technology, MGM continues to grow its presence across NE. Here, ownership means you're empowered to fix what's broken without waiting for permission.

The offer rewards both ends, $97,000 - $142,000 for your Rust today and mentorship for the senior leader you become tomorrow.

Our team checks new Web Designer applications every single business day.
