Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Web Design Systems Designer to own client design systems across US brands. You will extract patterns from brands and reference sites into a working system of tokens, variables, modes, and core components for a scalable build pipeline.

You will collaborate across several client brands, ensuring design rigor and consistency while delivering frontend-ready systems and documentation for developers and automation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing for the web with real design system work in portfolio.
• Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto layout and variants.
• Portfolio showing work across client brands with consistent design rigor.
• Strong English and overlap with US business hours.

You take a brand and a few reference sites, then extract the pattern into a working system: tokens, variables, modes, and core components a build pipeline can execute without asking you questions.
