Overview

Job Title: Web Content Specialist
Clearance Required: Public Trust
Work Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct user research and translate insights into actionable content and UX improvements.
  • Develop and maintain content strategy aligned with user needs, program goals, and plain language standards.
  • Audit, refine, and migrate content for clarity, accessibility, SEO, and compliance (Section 508/WCAG).
  • Implement and manage analytics frameworks (Google Analytics, GA4, Tag Manager) to track engagement and performance.
  • Collaborate with developers to improve navigation, information architecture, and components.
  • Provide governance guidance including metadata, taxonomy, and tagging standards.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and stakeholder presentations on content and UX performance.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in UX, Communications, Information Science, or related field.

Experience/Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in UX content strategy and analytics.
  • Proficiency with content audits, content modeling, and information architecture.
  • Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, GA4, Tag Manager, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Section 508 and accessibility standards.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Drupal CMS.
  • Familiarity with USWDS (U.S. Web Design System).
  • Federal digital services experience.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, tree testing, or other UX research methodologies.
Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $87,500- $120,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
