P.L. Marketing, Inc. is seeking a Web Content Editor to organize and curate product information in Kroger's PIM for customer-facing online shopping.

You'll validate items, set taxonomy, write and edit product descriptions, and support cross-department collaboration with Kroger suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate, compelling content. This hybrid role requires at least two days in our Corporate Office weekly and a proactive approach to managing digital assets, reports, and SharePoint

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; English, Communications, Advertising or Marketing degree preferred.
  • Grocery industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn multiple computer systems and web-based applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; works well cross-functionally.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure items are set up in the PIM system to support digital presentation.
  • Item validation and taxonomy setup (Department, Commodity, Sub-Commodity).
  • Set operational attributes to support item selection.
  • Review and edit product descriptions and marketing messages.
  • Create/update Microsoft Office documents and reports.
  • Support internal databases and update SharePoint sites.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments and Kroger suppliers.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Web Content Editors are responsible for the ongoing organization and curation of the product information contained within the Kroger Product Item Master (PIM), which can be viewed directly by a customer using Kroger’s Online Shopping capability.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • This hybrid position will be required to work in our Corporate Office at least two full days per week based on your team’s schedule

  • Ensure all items are set up within the PIM system supporting the digital presentation of products at the Kroger Company.

  • This includes but is not limited to: Item Validation, including setting up the proper Customer Facing Taxonomy (Department, Commodity and Sub-Commodity)

  • Set operational attributes to support item selection process

  • Review and edit compelling product marketing messages and descriptions

  • Business Process Functions:

  • Create/update Microsoft Office documents/spreadsheets

  • Create/update common files for use in reports

  • Assist in providing support for our internal databases

  • Update various team SharePoint sites to track item progress throughout process

  • Coordinate efforts with multiple departments and Kroger suppliers as necessary

  • Professionally represent PL Marketing while working with Kroger associates

  • Support special projects and additional initiatives as business needs arise

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation



MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (English, Communications, Advertising or Marketing degree preferred)

  • Experience working in the grocery industry preferred

  • Capacity to learn multiple computer systems and web-based applications

  • Skill and diplomacy in communicating with people

  • Able to interact effectively with cross-functional teams to accomplish common goals

  • Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint



MINIMUM PHYSICAL ABILITIES:


  • Must be able to:

  • Remain standing/sitting for several hours at a time

  • Lift 10-30 lbs. occasionally

  • Have unlimited manual dexterity



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:


  • Administrative support position in office environment

  • Retail or grocery experience

  • eCommerce Content Writer
