Samsung SDS America, Inc. is seeking an Information Security Engineer – Web Application Security to join our Cloud Security Team in Plano, TX.

You will conduct web app security assessments, manage assets, track vulnerabilities, and work with developers to remediate risks while promoting secure coding practices. You will provide security guidance, analyze reported issues, and deliver training to developers, partnering across application, infrastructure, and business units to strengthen the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in information security or related field.
• 2–5 years of information security or web app security experience.
• Knowledge of web security concepts and OWASP Top 10.
• Experience conducting web app vulnerability assessments or pen testing.
• Familiarity with Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, WebInspect or similar tools.
• Ability to analyze findings, identify exploitable risks, and avoid false positives.
• Understanding of secure coding principles and remediation validation.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic security assessments and vulnerability testing of web apps.
• Conduct security assessments for new or updated web apps before production.
• Maintain inventory of web apps and related assets for accuracy.
• Identify, analyze, and document vulnerabilities and remediation guidance.
• Track vulnerabilities through remediation and perform retesting.
• Provide security guidance and support to developers for remediation.
• Develop and deliver secure development training for developers.
• Investigate reported security concerns and support remediation efforts.
• Prepare vulnerability reports and remediation status updates.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve security posture.
