Job summary

Virginia Department of Social Services seeks a Web Application Developer Analyst to design and maintain enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies. The role emphasizes RESTful APIs, web services, and cross-team collaboration within a large, security-conscious environment.

The position participates in all lifecycle phases from planning through deployment, aligning with architecture standards and federal security guidelines. Strong reporting and documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in all phases of a project development life cycle (Requirements analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, Documentation, maintenance).
• Experience with AGILE and waterfall project development models.
• Experience with RDBMS and SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, XML/XSLT, HTML/CSS, JSON.
• Experience using defect tracking and source code tools (GIT, CI/CD, JIRA).
• Experience in OOAD/UML and designing/exposing SOA web services (SOAP/REST).
• Experience with SQL Server/Oracle and related data technologies.
• Experience with Visual Studio/VS Code, LDAP/AD and enterprise integration.
• Knowledge of Power Platform, ServiceStack, Dynatrace is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Blazor).
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services and handle enterprise integrations.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Security teams to ensure compliant solutions.
• Prepare technical requirements, guide multi-project work, and ensure standards adherence.
• Provide production support, triage issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Document architecture, designs, interfaces, and decisions with appropriate artifacts.
