Job summary

Central Hudson is seeking a Web Application Developer to enhance web and mobile platforms, supporting critical business systems and the customer self-service portal. You will help deliver secure, scalable applications and participate in the full software lifecycle from analysis to deployment.

The role requires strong web development skills (C#, ASP.NET MVC, REST API, HTML, CSS, JS) and a collaborative mindset, with opportunities for growth in a utility-focused tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or STEM field.
• Associate degree with 3+ years of software development experience acceptable.
• 5+ years of software development experience with a strong web focus.
• Experience in web application development.
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC, REST API, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Ability to scope/size projects and adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to work off-hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Full support of Software Development Life Cycle (Analysis, Design, Configuration, development, documentation, testing) for web/mobile platforms and self-service portal.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to deploy modern customer and internal apps.
• Implement design and architecture best practices.
• Engage in industry forums to identify opportunities for improving practices.
• Continuously optimize processes to deliver value-added efforts.
• Provide support for storm restoration efforts.
