Job summary

Velcro Companies in Somersworth, NH is hiring a Third Shift Loom Mechanic to safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain weaving production equipment from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and lead improvement initiatives.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 2-year trade school), 3+ years weaving maintenance, tool ownership, and LOTO certification. Travel between NH facilities is required; this is a full-time, on-site position with strong safety focus and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 2-year trade school training in engineering/machine repair
• Minimum 3 years weaving mechanical experience
• Must be able to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and assembly drawings
• Must have own tools and toolbox
• Lockout/Tagout certification is required
• Experience with Oracle and Everest is preferred

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and overhaul weaving, yarn prep equipment and related processes
• Lead safety initiatives and maintain a safe work environment
• Coordinate and perform preventive maintenance schedules
• Update product and process documentation for standardization of weave room processes
• Provide technical input on machine part design and assist in fabrication
• Train and mentor loom mechanics and support staff
• Travel between NH facilities to ensure consistent processes
