Job summary

Divine Energy Solutions Inc. in Dover, NJ is seeking a skilled weatherization technician to join our home performance team.

You will perform blower door and combustion safety testing, identify air leaks, install insulation, and help deploy AeroBarrier/Aeroseal with accuracy and safety. Preferred candidates hold multiple active BPI certifications and have hands-on experience with Duct Blaster systems, Aeroseal, or AeroBarrier, plus familiarity with NJ utility programs.

Qualifications

• Multiple active BPI certifications.
• Experience with New Jersey utility programs (e.g., Comfort Partners, NJ Clean Energy, Home Performance with ENERGY STAR).
• Hands-on experience operating Duct Blaster systems, Aeroseal or AeroBarrier.

Responsibilities

• Conduct blower door and combustion safety testing to measure air leakage and verify post-work performance.
• Identify and seal air leaks at attics, top plates, rim joists, chases and penetrations.
• Install and oversee insulation applications (blown cellulose, fiberglass, dense-pack, rigid board, spray foam).
• Assist with AeroBarrier and Aeroseal installations and monitoring.
• Document measurements and photos, submit field data per program and BPI standards.
• Direct crew activities to ensure proper installation and quality workmanship.
• Educate homeowners on improvements while maintaining a professional home presence.
• Focus on residential weatherization and building envelope improvements (not HVAC service).

Your New Role

• Location: Dover, NJ, serving residential job sites throughout North and Central New Jersey.
• Conduct blower door and combustion safety testing to measure air leakage, guide air sealing, and verify post-work performance.
• Identify and seal air leaks at attic bypasses, top plates, rim joists, chases, and complex penetrations.
• Install and oversee insulation applications, including blown cellulose, fiberglass batts, dense pack, rigid board, and spray foam.
• Assist with the setup, deployment, and monitoring of AeroBarrier and Aeroseal installations.
• Assess moisture, ventilation, and structural conditions while performing combustion safety testing within the scope of your BPI certification.
• Document pre- and post-work measurements, capture accurate photos, and submit field data in accordance with utility program and BPI standards.
• Direct crew activities to ensure proper installation and quality workmanship.
• Educate homeowners on completed improvements while maintaining a professional presence in their homes.
• Focus on residential weatherization and building envelope improvements, not HVAC service or repair.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple active BPI certifications.
• Experience working with New Jersey utility programs, including Comfort Partners, NJ Clean Energy, or Home Performance with ENERGY STAR.
• Hands‑on experience operating Duct Blaster systems, Aeroseal, or AeroBarrier.
