Job summary

Baron Weather is seeking a Radar Technician to assemble, install, test, and repair weather radar equipment and subassemblies. You will travel domestically and internationally to support radar installations worldwide, collaborating with forecasters, engineers, and QA teams to ensure product quality and uptime.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics or related field; 2–5 years electronics/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with radar, telecommunications, or RF systems is desirable.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for assembly and repair; proper termination techniques.
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment and inspection/testing approaches.
• Ability to read schematics and documentation; strong attention to detail and quality.
• Excellent teamwork and communication capabilities; collaborate with multiple departments.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with ISO MIL-STDs and OHSA electrical safety.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain weather radar equipment and subassemblies.
• Diagnose and resolve issues using advanced testing equipment and tools.
• Assemble radar systems and components per documentation and standards.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uptime.
• Conduct tests and QA checks to verify functionality and accuracy.
• Use BOMs, diagrams, schematics, and test docs for troubleshooting.
• Maintain production records and suggest quality improvements.
• Collaborate with forecasters, engineers, QA, and production staff.
• Update radar system documentation with version control and accuracy.
