Job summary

The University of Chicago seeks a Program Manager for AI Weather research initiatives to oversee day-to-day execution and strategic coordination of a multi-institution portfolio. You will work with faculty leads, manage budgets, and coordinate industry and government stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget program delivery.

You will support proposal development, reporting, and communications, while aligning with researchers’ scientific and policy goals in a hybrid Chicago setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Advanced degree preferred in a related scientific, environmental, or policy field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates action items for scientific meetings with technical AI weather forecasting content.
• Leads project management for flagship efforts and cross-institutional initiatives.
• Manages budget tasks and supports grant reporting and proposals.
• Oversees communications and administrative matters tied to program work.
• Plans priorities, conducts quality assurance, and tracks performance standards.
