Job summary

Meta's Wearables AI team seeks a Software Engineer to design and build scalable LLM infrastructure powering on-device AI for wearable products. You will work across data generation, tool design, and backend systems to enable Agentic AI applications.

The role blends language engineering with systems expertise, requiring 5+ years in software development, experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow, and proficiency in Python/C++/Java. Hybrid work in California is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production systems.
• Experience with systems design, distributed computing, or backend infrastructure.
• Experience with ML systems, LLMs, or AI infrastructure.
• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and ML infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building robust, scalable LLM systems for on-device AI.
• Data generation and data curation for model evaluation and improvement.
• Tool design and implementation to support AI workloads.
• Infrastructure optimization for high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Build data and evaluation flywheels to accelerate product improvements.
